The MCAS Club offers a few different shooting sport opportunities. We shoot USPSA Action Pistol, Multigun, Steel Challenge as well as a few special shoots during the year! We are excited to have you come shoot with us!
USPSA Action Pistol
USPSA Action Pistol
New competitors: bring your handgun (9mm or larger) 200 rounds of ammo, a holster, and some spare magazines or speed loaders, eye and ear protection, and we'll show you the rest! Ask lots of questions, all our shooters are some of the friendliest you will meet, and want to help you learn the game!
Safety is our first priority! We operate a "cold" range. Bring your unloaded handgun in a pistol case. Ask a range officer at the registration table what to do next.
Our USPSA action pistol matches are typically the 3rd Saturday of every month from March through October. We set up for the match on the Friday evening before the match, and tear down immediately after the match scoring is complete. This is an all-volunteer activity, so please try to help out by setting up and tearing down the stages!
Multigun
Multigun
We shoot a few multigun matches each year . We welcome new shooters to attend any match! We set up for the match on the Friday evening before the match, and tear down immediately after the match scoring is complete. This is an all-volunteer activity, so please try to help out by setting up and tearing down the stages!
The equipment you will need to shoot a multigun match depends on the division you compete in. We have a division for everyone. You can compete at any multigun match with just a rifle and a pistol, or you can use a shotgun as well. Here is an idea of the gear and ammunition you would want to bring.
Ear and eye protection
Sturdy belt
Handgun 9mm or larger
Holster for handgun
Two or three magazines for handgun
100 rounds of handgun ammunition
Shotgun (Pump or Semi-auto) - if you shoot a division with a shotgun
75 rounds of shot shells; 5 slugs
No steel shot
Carrier for extra shot shells
Semi-auto rifle (AR-15 most common)
.223 or 5.56 only - 100 rounds
No steel core bullets! We will check, and you won't be able to shoot if you bring them.
2 rifle magazines
Safety is always our first priority. We run a "cold" range. Please bring all firearms unloaded. Ask a range officer at the registration table what to do with your firearms.
